March 6, 1863
March 6th It looks like
rain this morning I expect that
we shall have to spat through the
mud up to our asses. Old Thompson
got a letter from home this morning
that said something about some
theives around south Hamilton he
heard that they had caught one
and he turned states evidence
and brought out the rest of them
Do they have anything to say about
drafting in York state I hear they
was going to or talked of it. if they
do tell henry to gro young 1 year
how does the morgan grow. I wish
I had a good dish of bread and milk
I would give more for a good dish of
bread and milk than anything else
in victual line well I guess I
have wrote enough for this time
write as soon as you get this write all of
the news so good by for this time
