The Onondaga County Civil War Round Table, a group with a history of historical preservation, has decided that action must be taken to save the grave site of a man who dedicated 44 years of his life to the service of his country.

The OCCWRT has begun a campaign to raise the funds needed to stabilize the site. This project will require the assistance of many people who agree that a man such as "Bull" Sumner deserves a final resting that reflects his military service to his country. His last words, as he lay dying, were, "God bless the United States of America."

We ask you to help us with this task of honoring General Edwin Vose Sumner's memory. Any contribution, large or small, will be gratefully accepted. All donations to the Sumner Preservation Fund are tax deductible.
