James H. Conine

Enlisted on November 20, 1861, at LaFayette, NY, as a private, age 21.
He mustered into Company I, 12th NYSV.
He died of disease on May 8, 1862, enroute to New York City on the steamer Ocean Queen.
Promoted to Sergeant, March 1, 1862.
He is buried in LaFayette Rural Cemetery, LaFayette, NY.
