Joseph S. Lowery

Enlisted on August 29, 1862, at Boonville, NY, as a Private, age 21.
On October 10, 1862, he mustered into Co. D, 146th NYSV.
He was discharged for disability on January 13, 1865.
He was listed as wounded on June 3, 1864, at Cold Harbor, VA.
He was promoted to 2d Lieutenant, January 31, 1863;
to 1st Lieutenant, October 6, 1863; to Captain, May 17, 1864.
