Corporal Thomas Farrell, Co. D, 153d NYSV. Joined at Johnstown as a private
Sept. 6, 1862, age 29; promoted to corporal July 1864; WIA Oct. 19, 1864 at
Cedar Creek, VA; discharged for disability March 31, 1865.

Captain Garrett Van Derveer, Co. A, 115th NYSV. Joined at Fonda Aug. 1862 as a
captain in Co. A; died Feb. 24, 1864 at Beaufort, SC, of wounds sustained at
Olustee, FL.

Major Jacob Clinton Clock, 153d NYSV. Related to Col. Jacob Klock of the
American Revolution; joined Sept. 1862 at Fonda as a captain, age 26; promoted
to Major Aug. 27, 1864; WIA Sept. 19, 1864 at Winchester, VA; died Oct. 15,
1864 at St. Johnsville, NY.

Brigadier General Alfred Howe Terry. Died in 1890; post named in memoriam.
- # 356 - St. Johnsville - Chartered March 29, 1883.
Private Alonzo Smith, Co. B, 115th NYSV. Resident of St. Johnsville, enlisted
there July 1862, age 18; captured Sept. 15, 1862 at Harpers Ferry and paroled
Sept. 16; captured at Olustee, FL, Feb. 20, 1864 and later reported dead.
