Enlisted on August 14, 1862, at Syracuse, NY, as an Assistant Surgeon, age 42.
He was commissioned into the Field & Staff of the 122d NYSV.
He was discharged for promotion on July 1, 1863.
He was commissioned into the Field & Staff of the 121st NYSV.
He was Mustered Out on June 25, 1865, at Hall's Hill, VA.
He was promoted to Surgeon on June 4, 1863 (121st NYSV).
