Col. S. R. PerLee. On Wednesday morning, last, at his home in Norwich, Col. S.R. PerLee, the veteran commander of the 114th regiment New York volunteers, went over to the silent majority. Col. Per- Lee has been a prominent man in Che- nango county for the past fifty years. He was a gallant soldier and a respected citizen. He was active in politics and and had served the town as supervisor and the county as treasurer. His funeral was held on Memorial Day and was largely attended, especially by those of his regiment, members of which acted as pall bearers, thus paying a last sad tribute to their beloved commander. The burial was in Mt. Hope cemetery.
