David B. White

 --After a lingering illness Rev. David
B. White died at his home in Carthage,
Wednesday, and his funeral took place
Saturday afternoon at the M.E. Church,
of which he had been pastor, Steel Post
and Carthage Lodge F.& A.M. attending
in a body. Mr. White was a prominent
member of the Northern New York confer-
ence since the close of the war. He served
his country on the battlefield during the
war, going out as captain and winning his
way to lieutenant-colonelcy. He leaves
a wife, two dayghters, a son and a large
circle of friends to mourn his loss.
